         Our Podiatrist on the importance of flexibility of movement for your feet ...

  Your feet contain a natural mechanism to keep blood circulating, oxygen pumping into every cell, helping your feet glow with vitality – and this mechanism depends on movement in the ball of the foot.  When you walk barefoot, every step bends the joints in the ball of the foot, activating blood circulation into and out of the foot.  

Bending the ball of the foot activates your calf muscles which act as a pump mechanism for blood flow. That’s why walking is the best exercise for the feet.

Froggie shoes are flexible so they move with your feet, allowing this mechanism to work.  The lower the heel height you choose, the more flex (bend) is possible in your feet.

 
 

Flexibility in your shoes allows all the muscles in your feet to have a “work out”, and this promotes balance and stability which help to prevent problems with your feet in later years.
