Our Summer 2011 campaign is a tribute to the beautiful city of Durban, because we are so proud to be called
‘Durbanites’! Our ma in locations were The Golden Mile, Durban Beach front - for obvious reasons; West Street
because it’s so iconic and it houses our City Hall - the seat of power and a witness to the city’s changing history...
British Empire, the apartheid government and now a multiracial council. Built in 1910, this is perhaps Durban’s
most famous heritage landmark; Point Road because there is such a mixture of old-world and new-world charm,
and of course Victoria Street Market - formerly Durban’s first municipal eating house (May 1905), later renamed
Victoria Street Eating House... African stallholders sold meat and also made and sold shields, beadwork and traditional
Zulu attire... Today Victoria Street Market houses things like the most amazing curry powders (we even managed to
find one name ‘The Mother-In-Law Exterminator’!), to brooms, baskets and clothing.
Colour Vision - From searing orange to sexy scarlet and cool cobalt blue, colour is back! Wear it ‘fearlessly’ in solid blocks of the most vividly clashing shades and graphic shapes to create a gloriously high-energy painbox palette.
Sandstorm - This Summer, indulge in chic shades of sandy beige in ultra-luxurious, flowing fabrics for an exquisite look that is as sleek as it is effortless.
Get in gear as the classic tale of boy meets girl is re- imagined in thrilling urban-style this summer. The masculine shape of biker leathers is transformed by sexy details and soft silhouettes for an androgynous look with super-charged attitude.
Spring/Summer 2011 key basics? From neutral bodysuits to clean-cut white shirts and dressed-up tees, build this season’s hottest looks with these simple wardrobe must-haves.
This season some of the latest trends are merely a re-interpretation of last summer’s main trends, offering you the chance to make the most of your investments for this year, others offer you the opportunity to perkup your style and try out a variety of different styles you might not be used to. Considering the fact that warmer seasons are generally synonymous with fun and colourful prints it is only natural to seeextensions of this trend as well for footwear. Printed shoes are generally a good idea if we want toadd a pop of colour to our outfits yet we are not willing to opt for something extremely dramatic.
When it comes to shoes for formal events, feminine details are a classic and refined choice.
Ankle straps and punched/cut out leather are a wonderful choice as they give a more elegant touch to any outfit, emphasizing femininity.
If you haven’t already heard, the hottest colour of the season is not even a colour at all, which is perfect because it makes your legs look hotter no matter what your skin tone!
Wedges are back and stilettos give way to stacked heels and platforms. Flat for the summer is the flattest ever, and will make you feel like you’re walking barefoot. Gladiator style shoes
continue to be a very trendy design this season.
The epitome of luxurious preppiness, sneaker pumps are a streetwise slip-on style that refuses to be understated. Canvas fabric uppers or soft genuine leather, these shoes combine classic styling with contemporary details.
