Cushioned Soles

Every woman can appreciate the feel of our fine, soft leather on her feet. Yet when we walk on unyielding, artificial surfaces in offices, schools and even at home, soft upper leather may not be enough. The sole beneath our feet also has a vital role to play in decreasing “step shock”.

Froggie works in close collaboration with materials scientists, to research, develop and patent new compounds and designs that are used in Froggie outer soles and mid-soles. We’ve found new ways to mould the outer soles so that the actual tread pattern becomes a shock absorbing unit – the same kind of innovation you’ve come to expect in specialized sports shoes.

Froggie mid-soles (the invisible parts that are sandwiched between the outer soles and the inner soles) now carry various versions of the Froggie patented cushion components, to increase the comfort under your feet.

The cushioning in your pair of Froggie shoes has an added benefit – the “micro-bounce® effect” helps promote blood circulation, which can reduce foot and leg fatigue during and after your busy day.

Froggie policy states that we will never use PVC soles or top pieces, as many competitors do, since we are aware that both the manufacture of PVC and its subsequent break down releases carcinogenic and other dangerous toxins into the environment (air, water and land).

Froggie prefers to work with renewable or recyclable resources for our soles. Our soles are a fitting complement to our real calf, goat and sheep leather uppers, extra tumbled for added softness. We do not use pigskin in any style.

All Froggie materials are purchased to EU standards: this is your assurance of added quality.
