Chestnut footwear, the colour of the season

All horse lover’s will easily know the colour of a Chestnut horse glistening in the sun, a rich brown colour that borders between light and medium depth and has strong warm red undertone. This season we have introduced a chestnut calf for our boots and shoes which makes for a lovely accent colour in a wardrobe.

 

Traditionally, thinking of chestnut footwear, my mind races straight to the exquisitely made Italian oxford men’s shoes swagger down the London streets of Canary Wharf. Chestnut with a tailored suit is my first thought. Formal, stylish and means business. That air of confidence and style has naturally poured onto the power house women of the world and we wanted to see that trend on our South African woman standing in their superwoman pose.

 

 

There is an ease about wearing chestnut. It is a neutral, it goes with everything but it effortlessly elevates any outfit you throw on. A chestnut sneaker for example is going to make you feel a million bucks every time you throw them on, and I don’t simply mean our sneakers are unbelievably comfortable. I mean you will feel stylish and well dressed. Our chestnut sneaker (12594) has been paired with a gorgeous chestnut crocodile print leather.
