Mary Jane's

Mary Jane's

This iconic shoe, known also as a bar or doll shoe, is the epitome of a classic and timeless silhouette in the shoe world.

Interesting fact. The Mary Jane shoe was named after a character in the 1902 comic strip called “Buster Brown”. The Brown shoe company cleverly named one of their classic bar shoes after the style Mary Jane wore in the popular comic strip. Since then, Designers all around the world have reimagined this elegant shoe in a range of toe shapes, heel heights and buckles, especially from the 1990’s.

This Mary Jane is for the woman who like height with stability. The block heel is practical yet keeps it classy. There is something architecturally pleasing about this style with its square toe that compliments the angles of the heel. The croc printed leather bar threads through an aesthetically pleasing rectangle buckle. The buckle being covered in leather is subtle and understated. This is a classic with an edge keeping you modern.
